I am re-reading the book, The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer.
It’s all about ignoring your ego, your own likes and dislikes and taking the will and message of the Universe…whether you like it or want it or not.
I feel I already do a degree of this way of living. I try my best to not force or make things happen. I pay attention to what comes into my field and awareness.
But this book has me considering this next level; and maybe you will tune into whether such a thing is how you want to live YOUR life.
Here’s a simple example from my week that I am still observing and sitting with. It really is so interesting to notice how the Universe sets you up, plans for you, makes way for you.
I had contacted a surf coach a few weeks ago and planned to hire him. However, to be honest, the money wasn’t here (yet) for me to sign on the dotted line, so even though my self was disappointed, I didn’t do it and wondered what else might come in.
While I was waiting, another surf coach got dropped into my lap. At this same time, the money showed up to hire the first guy but I just didn’t…..I wasn’t getting a strong pull or yes from the Universe so even though my brain was like “yes now you can do it” it just didn’t materialize.
And finally, the second surf coach (if you are still with me!) provides a really cool video analysis service and is way more enthusiastic and was more reasonable, money wise. And, I don’t need to overcommit to a program with him AND he is offering to do a video review of my surf clips for free, so that I can see if it feels like something I want to keep doing.
This is all to share that had I went with what my brain thought was best, I would probably not have met the second guy, and I wouldn’t be gaining this wisdom that will be directly applicable to me now, surfing.
And even if I have NO IDEA (and I actually don’t!) of why this guy showed up now with this….I am excited to find out.
And so with that kind of directional lead….I can only wonder what happens from here. I am so much more open and aware to WHO shows up. WHEN. HOW.
And fight the desire to control it all or express my preference.
It really is meaningless to do that, and more importantly, I am saving a ton of energy trying to “sort” my life out.
What if you did not try to sort? What if you watched while Spirit/the Universe created your life?
This is not manifesting, it’s living your highest vibe and trusting that whatever comes out of that (whether you like it or not) is meant for you.
