One of my last newsletters was about the weather chaos on this island.
It’s almost as if it all got repeated…with even more damage to properties and farms, mostly up North.
Chaos/natural disaster reminds me of why I love somatic work.
I have indeed learned tools and techniques (and have a thorough understanding of the nervous system and trauma) to help my family process these events in our bodies. I am so grateful for the grace; our property was spared. But yet still, trauma can be there anyway. Maybe it’s through power that went out, or hearing the sirens. Or seeing some crazy social media post (that I don’t doubt was real) showing people swimming out of their homes.
Geez. Chaos.
We can’t stop chaos (if you know how, tell me!) so sometimes the best we can do in these human bodies is have a space made for our integration. It doesn’t mean the disaster didn’t happen, in fact, it’s allowing the body to catch up with what did happen and what is now happening.
You can use these somatic sessions for processing/trauma healing/integration (whatever word you would use) for your own chaos; maybe it’s a birth scenario. Maybe it’s been an illness or medical event, a surgery even. Maybe it’s something “stupid”(what our brain says) that happened that we just don’t feel OVER.
Whatever it is, I am here for it.
3 sessions can be gained for $240, and this is the last I will say of it in this newsletter.
PS I Will be officially switching over to snail mail; I have the letters almost ready to be mailed out, so this week they will all get stamps and fly to your mailbox. Here’s that link again to sign up.
