What if You Don’t Listen to the Call?

Part of what has made Indie Birth “real” to our community over the last 16 years is that we are real, and we share it.

My husband made another episode of our Youtube channel, Mom Goes Surfing and in this one I talk about my mandatory time out of the Ocean and the lessons.

Because whether it is birth or surfing or life, I came here to share what I am shown and what my lessons are.  Kind of like a show-and-tell..watch, listen and if it resonates with you, your own life might become more joyful or richer! 

(PS; it takes Jason many hours to make one of these episodes and his ability to create these, when he is not a videographer, is awesome to me!-).

I was only “allowed” back into the Ocean after an injury after I had received the lessons that were meant for me.

Midwifery school is a similar kind of energy; will you be called to study in this life? Will you be open to receiving the lessons that are meant for you around birth and attending women?

The thing is, if I don’t get on a surfboard and into the Ocean, I’d never know this.

And if you are being asked to be a midwife and you don’t accept the call, there’s only so much to be done.

Women don’t “need” us anymore than you need my surf video.

But women often WANT us; as midwives, as light bringers, as inspiration and guidance.
