if nourishment is a burden, need not apply

My creation and facilitation of Circle is not a burden to me.  

It’s a gift. 

And I think it’s accurate to say the same for Circle members (especially those going on their 3rd or 4th year in the group).

If being with other women seems like a burden or an obligation or something you “just can’t fit in right now” then Circle is not for you.

I say that lovingly because I mean it and I am also really tired (angry) of this theme.  Women and mothers that can’t give themselves a gift EVER, can’t give themselves time and space.  The “martyr” complex for some; if no one gives them express permission then they cannot.  And even with permission they cannot!

Every year, I hear these excuses when Circle comes around.  Not enough time, not enough energy, not enough space to be with other women.  And while this might very well be true, to me it’s a symptom of a bigger problem. 

Women that cannot take time for themselves.

If you see Circle as another chore or thing to check off your list (meaning you probably wouldn’t show up anyway) then please pass.  I am done hearing excuses and in Circle we have created this reality that our own well-being MATTERS.  It matters to each of us to show up, not to impress anyone else or to feel like we are self-caring, but because we authentically see the value in being with an intimate group of women that can hold us.

If that is you, I don’t seek to change where you are at.  Live it, and let your energy lead. 

Perhaps when your children are grown, or your life is perfect (?), or suddenly you have zero obligations…. you will have the time for yourself in this way.

So, if you feel the pull to explore what Circle would be for YOU and your health and your connection to other women, the application door is open!
