When I first got into birth work many years ago, I followed the herd and figured I should be “convincing” people of why/how to have a home birth.
Many birth workers go through this same thing, and some stick with this story. They usually wind up exhausted or disillusioned.
Convincing anyone to do anything is really impossible.
Whether you are a midwife or a doula or maybe a business owner of another sort…the best you can do is LIVE the vibration that is your life and (if you love your life and have confidence in that!) spread that instead.
Maybe it’s also because I am a Human Design projector “type”; I can’t really invite anyone to do anything with me or for me, rather, I must be invited. (Also as a projector I have a knack for making people feel “seen” but often that is too much for them. Super uncomfortable. The non-aligned ones, I mean!).
When I offer the world my creation, it is the same.
You can follow along. You can see how I’ve done it. You can be inspired, or not. I don’t care because I will keep going for the ones that are here for it.
You can lead a horse to water but can’t make her drink.
Our new midwifery school is the right thing for many women out there and it’s because they can or will feel the vibration of it.
Everything has an energy, and it’s either a match for us or not. No convincing. Just authentic living.
I will keep walking the path, holding the light, and those that see it will join in.
