**Read below to join my SNAIL MAIL list**

Every now and again I receive an email in reply to the one I send out here that says….unsubscribe me!

Aside from the fact that the “unsubscribe” button is at the bottom of nearly every email ever sent by anyone…it brings up something resonant for me.  

Over the last month, I have hit “unsubscribe” on every possible email, service, product, class, you name it…..unless it REALLY CAPTIVATES ME.

I have left the lists of virtually everyone I have ever “followed”…because ok, that is a really gross word first of all.  I do not want to follow, but to lead.  And the few people whose emails I even read just didn’t feel all that interesting to me anymore.

Maybe I have changed.  Yes, I have changed.  And my time is so valuable that I am no longer willing to a) read stuff I don’t 500% care about and b) clog up my simple email box with things and offers and stuff I will never buy.

If I DO want to read about it, or buy it, or consult that person, I feel like I know where to find whoever or whatever it is.  I do NOT need to hear about it every week or more than one time a week unless it’s just super cool. Unsubscribe.  (And no, I would not email any of these lists and tell them to do that for me!  Geez, people have gotten so dumb, or so lazy, or both).

I won’t tell you what lists I have stayed on, but I could count them on one hand.  Mainly surfing stuff, and a holistic vet who is so smart and cool and has so much to offer the world.  That’s really it!!!  The newsletters I chose to receive are actually useful and nourishing and the tiny inbox allows me the mental clarity to work on the projects I have going.

On the other hand, I have unsubscribed from every list of every product I have ever bought (I know where to go if I want more and I don’t need a deal to buy stuff when I don’t want it).   This also includes spiritual people, astrology reports, body and somatic stuff,  other courses I’ve bought, all the services I never want to hear from even if I use them (like Zoom or Canva, omg) and just EVERYTHING.  I want my email box down to less than 10 emails at any moment.  My capacity has gone down for filtering all the junk that pours in each day because with each email I had to think…do I want this?

I’m also over all the emails I write that never find their way to real people.  And I am over all the addresses that aren’t real! 

To solve this issue and to do something bold (why yes, I will!) I am making real change here in my little corner of the world.

I will be deleting all email addresses on my list that do not want to hear from me; this will include bogus or spam addresses, and real people that do not want to receive SNAIL MAIL from me.

I’d rather have 500 real women that want to connect on my list than 14,000 robots.

Too much distraction, too much drama, too much asking of other people for attention.  The theme for me is always to turn inward, and then offer out what I can.
