We are in a time of great cultural shift.
One of the ways we know this is the implosion of the freebirth cult movement (I’ve spoken about this for many years but to add clarity again, I am not referring to the choice of unassisted birth. I am referring to the cult and business that has been the Freebirth Society).
I could easily blab on and on and about my opinion that this cult has damaged many women and hurt many babies. But my opinion may or may not be entirely true, so I would like to focus on the shift we are experiencing; moving away from group think-guru-security -of- following -dogma. That is why we see this cult collapsing.
The move now is into the individual; the call for each of us to do deep work, to not blame, to not go towards an artificial light of influence because no one knows more than we do about us.
This new era is about personal power but not in the former way of selling ourselves to a false idea, because of trauma or the wounds that we have. It is not about claiming the personal power by demonstrating to ourselves that we indeed are the ones we have been waiting for.
There is irony here to me because in the downfall of this one birth movement we have been led to believe (long ago maybe) that THAT was freedom, that was “growth”. And while it may have been for some people, women as a whole have not come out unscathed. I wouldn’t say it’s hopeless, at all, but women in particular are being asked to burn, burn, burn these old ideologies.
The systems that do not serve (whether it is the medical system or the FBS) will continue to break down.
What will you do? What do you need? Who are you? How can your time on this planet be full of joy and in truly living your truth? How can we come together to create what is next?
