There are signs and symbols all around you. Right now.
I like to pay attention to what I was thinking and feeling when I see a symbol. A “symbol” can be anything that is special or maybe just out of the ordinary, and when you see one…it is *usually* just for you.
I used to always see coyote out in the desert when I lived in Arizona. I was usually the only person that would notice them, and they usually appeared when they had a message for me. I remember seeing one right before I got pregnant with Rumi, and because coyote are such pack animals, it made sense. (Side note; my daughter is visiting Arizona right now and sent me these portrait like photos of the coyote that stared her down. As she said, it “looked into her soul”. Yes. They do. And when she texted me the photo I immediately felt this peace of protection and guidance around her. It was a strong feeling from the coyote to me of hello, yes, we remember you and we will watch this daughter with our best family instincts.)
That was a side story, but see this is how my life works. Magical side stories.
Always.
Today’s side story is I was walking along (with Silas, my old guy dog) and I was doing my normal morning pondering. I was reflecting on the fact that (and this has been “fact” for me) that people come in and out of my life. Kind of unexpectedly but I’ve learned to accept it. I see it more clearly now; vibrations change and consciousness changes and either I am a match for who I’m with or I am not. When I am not….they go.
As I’m thinking and feeling this, I come across a beautiful purple silk satchel of lavender! The fresh flower buds that smell so good.
How weird! Here I am walking along a city street and I find this bag in the grass at EXACTLY the moment I am thinking of how people come and go in our lives. Of course, I assumed the bag was meant for me and picked it up (no one else was around anyway!).
Lavender is purifying and protection. Sometimes we take on energies that are not our own; especially in a close friendship or relationship. We can forget bits of who we really are, and lavender helps us remember that we are safe, we are protected and guided. In this case, the gift of lavender felt like a blessing. That the right move had been made, that I am exactly where I should be with who I desire in my life.
My life is magic. Each and every day. There is so much to notice, inside yourself and what shows up in your outside world.
