For those that do not watch news (that’s me, too!), we had a tsunami watch yesterday.
There’s so much to say about the way it feels to be alerted about such a possibility. I love waves. I enjoy watching them and trying to understand their madness. But a massive wave headed towards shore at undeniably insane speeds can cause fear and distress in the body.
I have so many thoughts and feelings about the hours when we *waited* for this wave to show up. The not knowing, the anticipation, the worries…even the trauma of being called out of the water when the sirens went off, to sitting in gridlock traffic of panic.
Worry is such a low vibe. In some ways, one must surrender to the will of the elements. The Ocean is no exception. What she wants will be.
And so we are feeling grateful for her grace; and for the protection and prayers and love and high vibes that we (and others) put around these islands.
Life is like this. We think we know but really we are just living out our destiny and whatever vibration we choose.
We can choose the highest consciousness even in moments of stress. It’s not easy when that is not where most people settle. But it is necessary.
The Ocean IS consciousness. Communication with her is vital; whether that is a prayer, or an offering, or picking up trash. I am aware of her power and strength but she’s not also not a machine just set on a dial and devoid of any direction.
Bringing this back to birth; birth is ALSO consciousness. Birth is also not a machine set on a dial, good to go. Anything can change. Energy matters. Where we put our attention can affect the outcome.
Let the experience be felt in the body. Spend time processing it. Be grateful. Say prayers. And trust that birth and life is unfolding in the way it is meant to.
In the spirit of love and gratitude,
Maryn
