Hurricane Lala (really such a great name) has passed over our island.
I’ve been in hurricanes before and it wasn’t much of a storm, gratefully. But apparently a transformer in our neighborhood literally blew up last night and now the report is that we *may not* have power for many weeks.
Island living. (Gratefully, I am sending this from my sister’s house down the road a bit).
