What does it mean to be “good” at something?
For me right now, it’s being a “good” surfer or even better, a “good” water woman. That would be the ultimate skill set and compliment, should I ever get there.
But what is “getting there”? And is it the road we take important, or the end result, if there is one?
I really think you’ll be able to relate to my new podcast episode whether you are seeking mastery at a specific skill….or becoming a midwife….or mothering. Really, it’s all the same in the end. We see something we want to “be” and the journey there is all the things.
Fun. Frustrating. Hopeless. Full of hope. Progress. Regression.
I love it all, even though (as usual) I do not have the answers. I will say that, anecdotally, it’s nice with trying to be “good” at surfing to have a coach that has the same GOAL as me.
And that GOAL is really to have intention. We can be good at anything we choose, but the intention to stay with the basics and remember the foundations seems like good advice for any of us.
Take a listen here, and please share! I’d love to collect some positive podcast reviews so if you have listened and have something nice to say:) leave me a review on iTunes app!
