“Sacred”, whether it pertains to birth or life can have this glossed over, superficially positive feeling to me. As if “sacred” means always easy, or idyllic, and putting this on a pedestal compared to other experiences. People do throw the word around and
But “sacred” is a vibration we can tune into, and it is often real, and raw.
Sacred can be messy. Unwieldy. Out of control.
Sacred can connect us with that it means to be human at the same time that it might mean we are “reaching for the stars”.
We were invited this week to a beautiful, fertile, abundant off grid farm here. My kids loved every minute of immersing themselves deep into mud, getting (momentarily) dragged down a river, and catching tadpoles. It struck me how for an adult, the sacred beauty and rawness of our Mother Earth can bring up resistance. Did I want to dive deep into the mud? Not really. Standing in a mud swamp pulling plants felt rustic enough for me, although it was not lost on me the communication that was happening between my body and the soil.
I could feel in my body the uncomfortableness with nature in her rawest state. I could feel in my body the codes of the plant we were working with and it was profound and deep. And messy. The sacredness that the earth has for us whenever we are ready is anything but superficial.
I am here to shine my own light in a way that allows you to see or find yours.
My stories are your stories.
Get in the mud with me and let’s do a session together. You and your body will lead, and I’ll witness you as you find what’s needed.
